Online Applications & Tools [Week 8]
Quick and user-friendly. I like the clean and simple look of the interface.
From the many good templates available in Google Docs, I randomly did the following mock invite. Wasn't the fatest editor as it had to update changes in real-time. Loading a pic from the hard disk the slowest task. Via Google Doc's task buttons, I published the invite to my blog and also emailed it to myself. Blog no problems but the email didn't yield the best results. Only a link to the file published online is sent. The link opens the file in 'Google Doc' and is "shared" with recipients. That is, it is in editable mode with the task bar etc. visible. Not the best impression. All I want to send really is the picture file either pasted in the message or as an attachment. Doesn't make sense. Maybe I have to play around with it a bit more.
..10 mins later
okay, I know the problem. It opened up in editable mode because I was still logged into my blog which is linked to google docs, calendar, gmail etc. Log out, problem solved. However, it still doesn't present it in a attractive manner. The linked page shows the invite nestled to one side of the page and the google banner and 'sign in' to the other.
Here's another one which I think is kool. Really dig it's ease because I know how difficult it can be to create an online slideshow from scratch.

"Social Networking" [Week 7]
Absolutely appreciate its use in keeping people in touch. Face Book and MySpace rather clean layout and design. Bebo more personalised and colourful. Bebo gives the impression that its for kids. Below is a picture of pop star Chenelle plucked from MySpace as per instruction. Why her? Just random really, her latest release is my favourite song right now and she's hot.

....But wait there's more, here's Miss Poker Face.

Week 6
Okay, read through the lot. Visited the sites. Technorati kool. Better than Feedster from Week 2. Tagging useful I guess. Similar to how photos in Flickr are organised.
Wiki Sans Ruben [Week 5]
Yeah took a look. Wasn't the most easiest sites to navigate around. Not a big fan that it's editable by everyone and anyone though appreciate it's potential usefulness. Really have nothing else to say about em. Do we need one, yeah I say. Probably already is one out there that serves the planet. Elgar could set one up keeping in line with our demographic and collection whereby customers can share reviews on items. Pros are obvious.

Twilight!!!!!
So yeah I'm talking to my mate Kesi eh, she's a fine wine if ya know what I mean. She saw Twilight the other night and said in a word, that it was crap. I myself saw the shorts on the holidays and immediately thought how gay. Great for the emotionally immature teeny-bopper. No I'm not hating, it's true teeny-boppers. You'll agree with me when you get older and you're talking to teeny-boppers yourself. You wanna watch a real vamp film watch Dracula (ignore Keanu) or Interview with a Vampire. Read Bram Stoker's Dracula, even better. All modern versions are a derivative of some type of this. Anyway, what I found rather silly about this film in which I'm sure anyone over the mental age of 25 would agree was, why the hell would a 100 year old vampire fall in love with a teen? Seriously, betrothed in time or not, I couldn't stomach hanging out with a kid in the romantic sense. Further more, where do you draw the line of paedophilia? I mean, if you're a 100 but in an immortal ageless body, does that make it alright? Don't get me started on the implications of Benjamin Button.

New Beginnings
Hey peeps..howz it? (Ice-breaker). So anyway, my little bro left for Wellington yesterday. Packed up and drove down with little in his pocket. New Year, new beginnings eh. Motto this year is, "Be about it, don't talk about it". Lord know's most of us have been doing it for years huh. Manipulate life to give you more than the mediocre. That's right, to some extent we're not a feather floating aimlessly like in a Forest Gump movie (or are we? Is it a predestined path the feather follows?). Ultimately if it is to be it is up to me. Live long and prosper my brothers and sisters. All other species of the animal kingdom included too.
Well, maybe, they aren't small — maybe we're big
Rollyo
Here's the Rollyo thing below. Bells and whistles stuff for sure. Very handy for some very extensive blogs.
